Victoria + Wes
You might have seen Wes and Victoria’s wedding blog (if not check it out here). I could not help myself from sharing the details of their stunning engagement session as well!
Wes and I have been working together on weddings for over ten years. I felt so honored when Wes and Victoria asked me to photograph their engagement and wedding! Victoria is the sweetest. I knew we were meant to be friends when she was wearing running shoes under her dress at the engagement shoot — got to stay comfy!
Serious recommendation here, (because Wes just filmed my wedding), if you are looking for a videographer look no further and go book Wes!
We had beautiful locations picked out for this session and like the best-laid plans, we needed to be a little flexible. The day before their session there was a raging rainstorm. All the spots that we had initially planned were rained out. This is where it comes in handy to have a photographer that knows the area like a local. I was able to pivot the locations planned. At these locations, Wes and Victoria had the opportunity to show off their personalities and I loved capturing their love.
I say it in almost every engagement blog post but hopefully it helps in your planning: bring two outfits! It is fun and if you are going to be in two locations then each location is able to better show off your personalities.
We shot at the beach for sunset, and we also captured an industrial feel in the hills of Laguna.
Aren’t they just the cutest! I love photographing amazing humans that I have the joy of calling friends. The best part of working with my couples is that they trust my instinct to pivot locations when needed, follow the light, and capture their story in the best way possible.
Laguna Beach and many parts of Southern California can be overcrowded and difficult to navigate. But when you hire a professional, lots of amazing spots will be pre-scouted for you.
