Parisa + Aria
Santa Barbara is the magical slice of heaven located on the Central Coast of California. Drive up the 101 North to this red-roofed beach town. Santa Barbara has the essence of being in the Mediterranean without ever having to hop on a plane. There are mountains, ocean, and wine country. Seriously, Santa Barbara is a special location for celebrations, engagement sessions, and a weekend getaway! After living here for 5 years of my life, I am always on board when a client is looking for a session here. I could shoot here forever!
Aria & Parisa picked the Kimpton Canary Hotel and the Santa Barbara Courthouse for their engagement session. Keep scrolling for inspiration!
If you are heading to Santa Barbara and planning to make it a weekend or overnight trip I would recommend checking out the Kimpton Canary Hotel. It is located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara and is walking distance for pictures and exploring downtown, and it has adorable spots for taking pictures within the hotel. Plus, you can bring your pets, yes please!
The Kimpton is about a ten-minute walk to the Santa Barbara Courthouse where you will find color tiled staircases, lush gardens, a clock tower, and hallways dripping in beautiful California light. It is one of the only courthouses in the United States that has been privately funded and designed.
This courthouse is a popular spot for obvious reasons. A tip: plan your proposal for mid-week. You will not be competing with lots of other couples to get the perfect engagement photos you are dreaming of (your photographer will thank you)!
Catching golden hour with Aria & Parisa was stunning! It was a dream to capture these gorgeous outfits in this light! These outfit choices could be its own blog on what to wear.
My favorite part of being with Aria & Parisa was just watching how they look at each other with the true definition of what love is. Melts my heart!

An enchanting engagement shot in Brazos Bend State Park right outside of Houston, Texas. We laughed through the heat and mosquitos and ended with some incredible images they'll cherish forever.
