Laura + Paul

Laura & Paul’s wedding in San Luis Obispo was classic and elegant, with gold accents, eucalyptus, and wood tones throughout. The intricate details woven throughout the wedding highlighted the natural beauty of the central coast of California. The vendor team was amazing, and everyone involved went above and beyond to make this wedding magical!

From the signage to the ceremony and invitations, you can see the gold, eucalyptus, and wood tones incorporated. It is truly amazing when your planner can take a private home rental and turn it into the wedding venue of your dreams! Capturing all these special details was a piece of the magical day for Laura & Paul.

The Reverend John Love is a family member that was able to bless the couple. Even sweeter still, Reverend John Love is Paul’s uncle and he married Paul’s parents 35 years ago! In the pictures directly above, you can see Paul with his parents and then in the second photo is Paul’s parents watching their son get married by the same person that married them. It is such a touching moment and is honestly the moments I live for at weddings. It is so meaningful to know all the special details of your families and be able to capture photos to treasure for life!

After the ceremony Laura, Paul, and I snuck away to capture gorgeous couples photos while the sun was setting.

Regardless of the size of your venue, take the hour after the ceremony to get photos of the two of you. It is your time to take in and cherish that you are now married — the two of you are husband and wife! These are the photos that you will cherish for life. After the portrait shots of Laura and Paul around the gardens of Parker’s Place, the dinner and dancing began.

You put a lot of effort into planning the dinner & reception; before your guests go in, make sure you get to go see the final setup to take it all in. It is something so special to see your Pinterest board dream come to life!

Speeches and toasts are a beautiful way to share memories. Laura and Paul reached out to the guests that couldn't make it to their wedding and had them send their speech! They created a video of all of the speeches to play for them after dinner. There was not a dry eye in the house, and everyone was dying of laughter. It goes to show that there is a way to get everyone involved and to feel the love of your family and friends — even those who couldn’t make it.

If you think that a party of ten cannot get loose on the dance floor then think again. This group busted out the dance moves and made it a night to remember. There does not need to be hundreds of people to have a great time. You just need your family and friends that know how to get a party started. A great way to make sure that this happens is having a playlist that your guests know and love!

REMEMBER: Your wedding day is all about you two! Get down on the dance floor, celebrate with those you love most, and embrace this new journey together as husband and wife!

With Love,

Lauren
