I love this quote because it intimately captures my passion for photography. Life can be so fleeting, and photography can be used to capture moments and make them truly last a lifetime.
Part of the reason I choose wedding and milestone moment photography as my career is that my heart melts at getting to grow with my clients. I have the privilege of literally hitting the pause button with my camera to capture their love, growing family, and style throughout the years.
The Anderson family has been one of those families I’ve had the honor of capturing. From their wedding in 2016, to welcoming their first child, and then their second child, as well as their family session each year, I’ve been able to watch them grow over the years. It is these moments that light up my passion for photography and keep me striving to serve more couples and families each year.
When you book any photo session with me I will help you choose the best style choices, time of day to shoot, and all those fun details that come along with a photoshoot. These photos are going to have you printing them to frame in your house, send to grandma, and put on holiday cards.
Pick one or two main colors and weave them throughout the outfits of each family member. Each person’s outfit should represent their individual style while coordinating with the color scheme.
Have your location in mind. If your session is going to be in nature, bring an extra pair of tennis shoes. If we have to hike out a bit, you want to keep those nicer shoes clean (and we all know walking in heels on a trail is not fun)! If your family session is on the beach, consider ditching the shoes altogether.
Avoid logos or patterns that will be distracting in your photos. Popular brands tend to change over time, and avoiding these markers will leave your photos feeling timeless.
