Briana + Her Boys
If you're familiar with the Tustin area, you know what a treasure Peters Canyon Regional Park is. It is a beloved feature of the community and a well-traveled path by locals and visitors alike — a needed breath of fresh air within the busyness of life in the neighborhoods around it. The canyon has experienced its fair share of fires, vandalism, and other deterrents, but it has always bounced back, remaining a centerpiece of the community. Similarly a breath of fresh air, Briana emanates a sense of risilience and beauty, and those who know her can attest to this. Briana and her boys are a family unit with a bond forged by so much love, grace, and strength. It was an honor to photograph these three (and their adorable pup) and capture this love.
Briana and I met through a mutual friend who passed away four years ago. We have a special connection through our shared loss of Matt, and watching her bloom and care for her family has been an absolute blessing.
This shoot was more than just capturing pretty photos of their family — it was a way to document how brave, beautiful, glorious and bad ass Briana is! I wanted to highlight these qualities and also freeze this moment in time for her to look back on and see how strong she truly is. Plus, her kids were easily the most well-mannered and well-behaved, which was simply even more of a testament to how great of a mother she is.
